Welcome to the Tile 4 You website, I'm glad you found it! My name is Jaz
Castiglione and I am the chief cook and bottle washer here. I am a small company in
Troy that installs tiles in and around the Oakland county area. I've either sold or installed
floor and wall coverings for over 40 years now.
As you know, ceramic is the best floor and wall covering you can install in your home or
business. It should give you many years of service and is the ONLY true "no wax" floor.
It is waterproof, looks "real", because it is real, and the most maintenance-free by far.
When compared to top of the line vinyl, the cost is relatively low. You can enjoy a
beautiful, long lasting floor for only about 30-40% more than a conventional floor. No
wonder its popularity has grown more than 300% in the last decade. However, if not
installed properly, it will fail!
There are many "installers" you could choose to supply and install your tile. I recommend
a full-time licensed ceramic contractor only. Most of us have the knowledge, tools and
experience to do the job correctly. Installing ceramic tile is not as simple as gluing and
then grouting. One must consider things like surface preparations, type and thickness of
the substrate. Which of the many types of mortars or adhesives are correct. Quality,
grade and density of the tile. Which is the proper grout? Do you need an additive?
Which waterproofing method to use. Is a crack isolation membrane a good idea. How to
finish the doorways?
As for full-time contractors, it is important to know what field of work they specialize in.
Some may do a fine job, but be aware that most specialize in apartment, condominium,
and builder work only. Their work ethic may be based on how fast the job is finished, not
on how well your job is done. They may be honest and hard working people, but they are
forced to keep their price low by cutting corners. Often....(usually on floors and showers)
the work does not meet any established quality standard at all. They may talk a good job,
but the results may not live up to your expectations.
As a small independent contractor, I take pride in my work. I use only quality products
and proven methods in doing every job. I do not rush, I start when I promise and continue
until finished. I do one job at a time.....YOURS!
My labor is guaranteed for up to 10 years, yet my prices are up to 40% below
regular retail, and competitive with other qualified licensed tile contractors.
